Her name is rapidly becoming recognized in households across the world and now her face is going to catch up. Canadian actress Sarah Gadon, who has starred in Cosmopolis, A Dangerous Method and Maps to the Stars, announced that she’s been tapped to front the Armani makeup campaign.
A native Torontonian and a clear favourite of fellow Canadian David Cronenberg (he directed all the aforementioned movies), the beauty was chosen because “Sarah has the most delicate, classically beautiful facial features, with her blonde hair, clear complexion and crystalline eyes, and for me she is an example of contemporary beauty,” Giorgio Armani said in a statement.
The first image to be released (though it’s unclear if it will make the final cut of the campaign) depicts Sarah’s flawless skin perfectly contoured as she sports spring’s hot new pastel hues, including delicate mauve eyeshadow and dusty rose lipstick. The look is finished with a defined eyebrow and gently tousled locks. The campaign was shot by Sølve Sundsbø and will launch worldwide in June.
The actress, who was recently nominated for a Canadian Screen Award for her role in 2014’s Enemy, announced her new appointment on Instagram. She will next be seen in the thriller The 9th Life of Louis Drax, starring alongside Aaron Paul and Jamie Dornan.
