Feel out of the loop during #NYFW? No need to fret-with this Twitter recap, you will be caught up on the most important fashion moments as told by the biggest fashionistas, well at least the ones logging on to Twitter.
The Vampire Diaries’ Nina Dobrev made her first-ever fashion week debut by attending shows like DKNY, Monique Lhuillier, and Herve Leger. While gaining fashion cred at the tents, the Canadian beauty also managed to interview model Coco Rocha and designer, Donna Karan. However, when it came down to gushing about her favorite collection, Donna was not in the cards. “To die for! Monique Monique Monique!” she enthusiastically tweeted and posted a picture of the final look.
“Jenna Lyons is every ones muse”, tweeted InStyle’s EIC Ariel Foxman after attending the Marc by Marc Jacobs show which featured several models wearing thick black frames, red lips, and side parted low ponytails. Teen People's Jane Keltner deValle tweeted a picture of another "Jenna Lyons doppelgänger at J Crew", while attending the J Crew Insider presentation.
Manrepeller, whose Twitter timeline flaunts entertaining liners such as, “Fashion week butt cramp: 9AM show on a rainy Saturday,” graced more fashion shows than…pretty much anybody. Her favorites? “Final walk at Peter Som. My favorite collection thus far. Mullet dresses reign again!” She also raved about Rag & Bone via WWD's Accessories Editor Rachel Strugatz who tweeted that the final walk is "better than sex."
Bloggers solidified their staying power in the fashion kingdom by tweeting all of their #NYFW moments via the front row. Bryan Boy tweeted, "ok it's really a suit and tie day today. sitting front row at oscar. i thought i'd polish up and not go out as a tranny." Manrepeller asked, "Does my having been assigned a front row seat at Herve Leger mean there's a drop crotch surprise manifesting?"
The Marc Jacobs Flight of Fancy collection got a lot of love by several fashionistas. London blogger, Susie Bubble tweeted to Bryan Boy after the show, "just said there's so much of me in that @MarcJacobsIntl show…too bloody right!! That just gave me my first proper tingle of NYFW." Jane Keltner deValle agreed, tweeting, "@MarcJacobsIntl spins a fairytale that would do Dr. Seuss proud." As for W Mag's Fashion Director, Edward Enninful's thoughts on the show: "I LOVED Marc's show. So happy 'lady-like' is over xoxo".
Victoria Beckham introduced the world to Harper, not her precious baby girl but her latest "it" bag during her show which was held at New York's Public Library. Also in tow, Victoria's hubby, David Beckham who was spotted carrying actual baby Harper around. A Twitterverse explosion ensued as the "Proud husband sat front row next to Anna Wintour."
