The Motorola Dublin Fashion Week has been reaching new heights lately. Since last season’s huge success, MDFW attendance has grown significantly attracting important international buyers and press.
From August 25th to the 27th attendees at The Radisson Hotel, in Golden Lane, witnessed how MDFW brought together the hottest labels Ireland has to offer, showcasing a mix of clothes, knitwear, shoes, jewelry and accessories.
The Collective Show returned once again presenting Ireland’s leading designers such as John Rocha and Deborah Veale, among others.
This year’s MDFW also featured the inaugural Fashion Awards, and ‘The Talks’, a series of speaker events by prominent fashion industry professionals.
The Spring/Summer 09 event’s design was created by Motorola, the official sponsor. The fashionable and smart design, called MOTO U9, was defined as " an incredible music experience where you could see, feel and hear the stylish side of music."
One of the highlights of the week was Tim Ryan’s innovative show. The London-based designer gave the audience something to remember by making models part of a light box installation.
Another designer making a mark is Sinéad Doyle, who launched her debut womenswear collection. The Irish designer delivered high quality day wear for the professional, yet stylish women who seeks to indulge in luxury fabrics for the everyday routine.
MDFW was a celebration of all that makes the Irish fashion industry extraordinary and dazzling. Next season will bring even more international attention along with the exquisite experience fashion savvy attendees are now expecting.
