HOW TO WEAR ANIMAL PRINT

While not to everyone’s delight, animal print made itself at home on the runways this year. The Fall 2010 Blumarine show received mixed reviews because of its apparent pattern overdosage, which was caused by a ton of zebra, python, and cheetah prints. On the other hand, Oscar de la Renta charmed us with his subtle safari adornments, including an elegant leopard ascot and a zebra skirt peeking out from a classic coat. His collection reminds us that when used in moderation, any trendy indulgence can be worn.

Below are three chic examples of the cheetah or leopard print trend, done right.
